Newton, MA - October 1, 2007 - The Cunniff Group Cares announced the winner of the pair of Boston Red Sox tickets to the first game of the playoffs. All proceeds will benefit the leukemia program at Boston Children's Hospital. The winner of the drawing was Kathy Foran of Realty Executives Framingham.

The Red Sox playoff tickets were donated by Shawn Cunniff, co-founder of The Cunniff Group Cares and broker/owner of Realty Executives Newton. After discovering a fellow real estate colleague's 7-year-old son was diagnosed with leukemia, Cunniff decided to donate his tickets to The Cunniff Group Cares to be raffled off. Donors responded generously, snapping up the $100 raffle tickets to support a good cause. The raffle raised $4,500 which will be donated to Boston Children's Hospital.

Children's Hospital will turn this goodwill into achievements that will change the lives of children and families. The donated funds will be used to organize special events for young cancer patients so they are able to enjoy fun activities with their peers. Besides providing entertainment, these activities also give children the opportunity to talk about their experiences and relate to one another. These funds allow Children's Hospital to provide each child with the best care and the greatest hope for a healthy future.
