The Founder's Story:

In the real estate profession, I've been fortunate enough to have been associated with people who are willing and able to give in order to support a good cause. Having been acquainted with these people, I realized that giving back is something everyone enjoys and deep down, everyone has a good heart. Given the opportunity, people are happy to come out and contribute. Upon this realization, I founded The Cunniff Group Cares Charitable Foundation.

Initially, contributions were donated from my clients and the agents in my office. I gave clients the opportunity to donate the interest earned on their escrow account to the Foundation and Realty Executives would match that donation. The agents in my office also got involved early on; agents would support The Cunniff Group Cares by donating a percentage of their commission from each closed sale.

Soon enough, community members saw that the programs their kids were involved in benefited from the Foundation's generosity and they wanted to get involved. It's been through the involvement of the community that we have been able to grow to extent that we have. It is the hope of the charity to continue to grow so that we may touch the lives of more and more people each year. There is no limit to the size that we hope to someday be and no limit to the number of lives we hope to touch.

About Our Founder

Shawn Cunniff has always had a philanthropic spirit and that spirit remains strong to this day. In addition to his impressive involvement in his own Foundation, Shawn continues to engage himself in fundraising events for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund. He donates to the Children's Miracle Network and Children's Hospital and volunteers at the Bristol Lodge Soup Kitchen in Waltham , MA . Shawn is also an active parishioner at Our Lady's Help of Christians in Newton Corner.

Not only is Shawn the Founder of The Cunniff Group Cares, he is also the President & CEO of real estate company Realty Executives, Prestige Properties in Newton, MA. Shawn has been in the residential real estate industry for over 10 years and holds several important designations including Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Certified Relocation Specialist and Luxury Homes Specialist. Shawn graduated from Suffolk University with a Bachelors of Arts in Business Management.

Prior to his career in real estate, Shawn worked in the restaurant industry for 8 years where he was in charge of restaurant development, quality control management and operational supervision. During Shawn's career in real estate he worked for companies such as Coldwell Banker, RE/MAX and Century 21, but it wasn't until he found the company Realty Executives that he opened his own franchise, Realty Executives Prestige Properties.
