Realty Executives Prestige Properties and charitable division, The Cunniff Group Cares, help to make Newton Schools Foundation's Expo possible.

Newton , MA - With the help of The Cunniff Group Cares Director of Special Events, Jacquelyn DuComb, as event co-chair and Realty Executives Prestige Properties as a major corporate sponsor, the Newton Schools Foundation's Big Ideas Expo was a huge success.  The Expo was held Tuesday April 15 th at Newton South High School from 3:30 - 6:00pm and was free and open to the public.

The Cunniff Group Cares has a special interest in the Newton Schools Foundation Grant program, which presents teachers with funding for cutting-edge curriculum. Grants are awarded to proposals that demonstrate innovation, collaboration, and have potential for broadly impacting the school system and support the goals and on-going priorities of the Newton Public Schools.  In 2007-2008, 26 grants were awarded to teachers amounting in $148,255.

The Expo was an opportunity for the 2007-2008 grantees and their students to showcase the work they've done throughout the year and demonstrate the effectiveness of the teaching methods. Most exhibits were interactive allowing peers and community members to experience the curriculum on a first-hand basis.
