Mission: The Price Center supports people with developmental disabilities by encouraging personal growth and participation in the community through social, living, and work experience that respect individual preference and diversity.

Afternoon Social Club Encouraging Networking and Transitions (ASCENT): ASCENT is an afternoon program that provides meaningful and valuable opportunities for teens and young adults with developmental disabilities. ASCENT provides structured activities that promote independence, self-reliance, and community integration to the fullest extent possible.

The ASCENT philosophy believes that success is dependent on the individual's understanding of the expectations of the community for adults. This will require more than just leaning skills; they must gain experience within the community from appropriate role models who will shape the choices each individual makes. ASCENT's purpose is to teach the social skills necessary to help young people make choices that are right for them.

ASCENT members participate in activities that foster social and cultural awareness and personal growth. The program's focus is to assist them in overcoming the challenges of youth and of their disabilities. It is a social club that is both community and center-based, and implements various life skill themes, including: Functional Literacy; Money Management/Budgeting; Time Management; Personal Care and Hygiene Awareness; Meal Planning, Shopping, and Cooking; Understanding and Practicing Social Standards; Health, Safety, and Fitness; Community Safety; Mobility/Travel Training.
